Ben E. Hanika

Biography: Ben E. Hanika is a Google for Education Certified Trainer, and the Technology Integration Specialist for ESU 4, which serves 5 counties in southeast Nebraska. Ben provides professional learning for educators in the areas of technology integration, curriculum, and instruction. He enjoys working with teachers of all grade levels and content areas, and in both large group and small group settings.

Ben earned is Master of Science in Education Degree (Instructional Technology) from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2011. He earned his Bachelor of Music in Education Degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2003.

Ben enjoys spending time with his family. His wife, Sarah, is a Science teacher in Auburn Public Schools. They have a son, Joey, who is in kindergarten and two dogs: Archer, and Sunny. Ben and his family enjoy the outdoors, gardening, cooking, traveling, music, and attending Kansas City Chiefs Football games.

Prior to joining the ESU 4 Team, Ben served as a Band Director for 13 years in Nebraska, and he most recently served as the grades 5-12 Band Director at Auburn Public Schools.
