Matthew Carley

Biography: My name is Matt Carley. I am currently the Technology Director at Shelby-Rising City Schools. I have always been a risk-taker whether designing my own online course as a Social Studies teacher to designing my own curriculum for computer classes I taught. I have helped to implement and support 1-1 initiatives at the four different schools for which I have worked. NETA’s vision to promote utilization of appropriate technology to support quality teaching and learning, defines our K-12 1-1 at Shelby-Rising City where, depending on the grade, we are using iPads, Chromebooks, and MacBook Airs. I enjoy helping both teachers and students with their use of technology, especially all of the problem-solving that is necessary. I would like to be a part of the NETA board to help promote the utilization of technology and promote quality teaching and learning.
