Biography

My name is Michael Beach and I would be honored to serve on the Nebraska Educational Technology Association board of directors. I have been the K-12 Vocal Music Teacher at Malcolm Public Schools for 17 years. I received my Bachelors in Music Education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Doane University, and recently an Educational Technology Leadership endorsement from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I am a level 1 and 2 Google certified educator, I have previously helped judge for the annual Spring NETA scholarship contest, and I am constantly helping teachers and students use technology to enhance learning and promote productivity in my school

I would like to serve on the NETA board because I believe I am a lifelong learner that would strive to help teachers and students find new and exciting technology and infuse it into the curriculum, as well as be an advocate for instructional technology in all Nebraska schools. I would also like to serve on the NETA Board because I believe that when the areas of communication, public relations, student engagement, and professional growth can be embedded in a school culture with technology, the possibilities are endless.
