Biography: Hello, my name is Nikki Schafer and I would love to be able to serve on NETA’s Board of Directors. I am currently an Instructional Technology Specialist with Millard Public Schools in Omaha. My love of education began in Kindergarten, and eventually lead me to a degree in Music Education from UNL. After being blessed to teach in elementary schools for almost 10 years, I decided that I wanted to broaden my horizons, take advantage of my passion for technology, and got my Masters in Instructional Technology from UNK. I have decided to run for NETA’s Board of Directors so I can hopefully help serve our dedicated community of educators, specialists, administrators, and staff. I would do this by finding, organizing and delivering the most up-to-date and relevant uses of technology in education. I see the use of technology as a tool in classroom as so engaging and impactful to our students that I want to help as many educators as possible feel comfortable in taking advantage of that tool. I feel that my passion, energy and heart would be of great service to this wonderful organization, and can’t wait to get started! Thank you for considering me!
