Biography: It is said that we teach as we have been taught. I do not use a chalkboards, overhead projectors, or VCRs! I use technologies that make my science class as fun and engaging as a science nerd can. The reason I am running is I want to be a part of an organization that supports teachers that help them make the most of current and future classroom technologies. I attended my first NETA about 10 years ago and my teaching style is vastly different even though I was a “heavy user” of tech at that time. I always learn something when I attend NETA and it is a vital part of my professional skill set. As part of my service to NETA, I will ensure that our organization continues to look forward and be the go-to platform where teachers can learn, innovate, and share their knowledge which helps turn today’s classroom technologies into the chalkboards, overhead projectors, and VCRs that were once the premiere classroom tech not so long ago.
