Biography
My name is Zach and I currently serve as a Project Director at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, where I oversee grant-funded initiatives focused on introducing innovative educational technologies to local school districts. In this role, I collaborate closely with K–12 partners, administrators, and educators to design and implement instructional supports that strengthen teaching practices. Often this means expanding access to emerging technologies and promote equitable learning opportunities for students across Nebraska. Additionally, my work also emphasizes thoughtful instructional design guidance, professional development opportunities for classroom instructors.
Alongside my professional role, I am pursuing a doctoral degree in Educational Psychology. My research currently focuses on evaluating the effectiveness of educational technology and game-based learning interventions in supporting student development, motivation, and learning outcomes. Combined with my full-time position, this allows me to approach educational technology with both innovation and critical evaluation in mind.
Honestly, I am seeking to serve on the NETA Board because I am deeply committed to advancing the integration of research-informed technology that meaningfully benefits both educators and students. Thus, serving NETA would allow me to contribute my experience, learn from fellow leaders, and help guide the responsible and impactful use of educational technology across Nebraska.
