Biography
My name is Julie Teahon and I am a second-grade teacher and Title I coordinator at Sandhills Elementary in Halsey, Nebraska since 2001. I am a lead member of the Continuous Improvement Process at Sandhills Public Schools and have been a stakeholder for Nebraska Department of Education in helping them redefine the definition of an effective teacher. My passion is keeping up with the latest technology and incorporating it into my classroom. I am an advocate for early literacy and technology in schools.
I have been married for 15 years. My husband, Tedd, is the Fire Management Officer for the U.S. Forest Service. We have 2 children, ages 14 and 12, who are very active in football, volleyball, basketball and track. They were also national champions for USTA gymnastics. We live on our ranch where we also raise registered Red Angus cattle. In my free time I enjoy gardening and competing in the Platte River Fitness Series events.
