Janet Carriker

I am an Elementary Computer Science specialist for Crete Public Schools. Prior to teaching Computer Science, I was a Kindergarten teacher for 8 years. Since early in my career, I’ve been passionate about finding ways to integrate technology into Elementary Classrooms. Currently, I support teachers in my building by creating and sharing technology resources to supplement and support instruction in core areas. I love sharing my expertise and keeping my foot in the general education classrooms. I have served on my district Technology Leadership Team for 7 years, been a part of the ESU 6 Technology Leadership Cadre for 3 years, and presented at multiple conferences in Nebraska and Kansas. In addition to teaching for Crete Public Schools, I am an adjunct professor for Doane University, teaching Technology Integration for the Initial Certification at the Master’s Level program.
