NETA Conference Highlights
140+ Breakout sessions
No pre-registration is required for these hour-long demonstration/discussion sessions. Sessions are available for every aspect of using technology in education.
Poster Gallery Sessions
Casually visit poster displays and ask questions about successful projects. Special presenters will include participants in a year-long statewide grant called "The Learning Web," who will be sharing the successes of their classroom integration projects.
Session Strand for Tech Coordinators/ Directors and Tech Support Specialists
A special strand of sessions to address the needs of those making technical support or purchasing decisions has been added. There will also be a special informal Users' Group meeting on Thursday at the end of the conference day.
NEW--Special Strand for Administrators on Friday
New this year is a special strand of sessions designed just for administrators and other leaders within the district. There will be a special two-hour session on Friday that will require pre-registration. There's no charge for this session, but our presenter Dr. Tim Tyson, named one of Georgia's High Performance Principals by State Governor Sonny Perdue, served as the principal of Mabry Middle School in Cobb County, Georgia. Mabry was visited by many to learn how the innovative use of technology was used to maximize student achievement, plus has been featured in a variety of national education magazines.
Optional Hands-on Workshops
Enhance your conference experience with training from the experts! These optional workshops can be added for the reasonable rate of $35 each.
Graduate Credit
Earn Graduate Credit for attending both days of the conference.
Vendor Exhibits & Reception
Visit record numbers of vendors showing software, hardware, books and other products in the exhibit halls. Visit the exhibit hall and enter to win prizes! Winners will be announced at Thursday's vendor reception. The reception is held at the end of the conference day on Thursday.
NEW--Playgrounds
Ever hear the song with "playmates, come out and play with me...?" Well, now you can come to "playgrounds" at NETA. Here you will find "friends" from across Nebraska who will share what they've learned about some of the new technologies. It gives you a chance to receive personalized assistance in learning something new and transforming!
