NETA Conference Highlights

160+ Breakout sessions

No pre-registration is required for these 45-minute demonstration/discussion sessions. Sessions are available for every aspect of using technology in education.

Poster Gallery Sessions

Casually visit poster displays and ask questions about successful projects. Special presenters will include participants in a year-long statewide grant called "The Learning Web," who will be sharing the successes of their classroom integration projects. There will be many other poster sessions with teachers sharing their expertise in an informal format. Last year's grant winners will also provide poster sessions.

Session Strands for Tech Support Specialists |1:1 Laptop Initiatives | Ed. Leadership

A special strand of sessions to address the needs of those making technical support or purchasing decisions will be back by popular demand. There will also be a special informal Users' Group meeting on Thursday at the end of the conference day.

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND --This year there will also be a strand of sessions focusing on 1 to 1 laptop initiatives. Come learn how to improve your laptop initiative or explore how you might start one in your district.

Graduate Credit

Earn Graduate Credit for attending both days of the conference.

Vendor Exhibits & Reception

Visit record numbers of vendors showing software, hardware, books and other products in the exhibit halls. Visit the exhibit hall and enter to win prizes! Winners will be announced at Thursday's vendor reception. The reception is held at the end of the conference day on Thursday. Don't miss the Vendor Reception from 4:15-5:15 on Thursday!

Bring Your Own Laptop Sessions (BYOL)

We will have four sessions each day that will be designed for you to "Bring Your Own Laptop." See the sidebar to the left for a list of those BYOL sessions. When registering, please indicate the ones you wish to reserve. There is no charge for these sessions, but they are ticketed sessions with a limit of 36 people per session. They will be held in Marriott I.

Playgrounds

For the third year you can come to "playgrounds" at NETA. Here you will find "friends" from across Nebraska who will share what they've learned about some of the new technologies. It gives you a chance to receive personalized assistance with new technology resources . Look at the schedule for Thursday in Gatsby Room.

Conference T-shirts

Purchase y our remembrance of this year's conference, designed by the student Logo Contest winner. T-shirts will be available for purchase near the registration area by the entrance.

FRIDAY, after the last session (3:30 PM,) meet in Windsor VI for the prize drawings. Exhibitors and others have donated great prizes. You must be present to win!
