Dr. Nick Ziegler

Biography: I’m Dr. Nick Ziegler, ESU 5 Tech Integration Specialist. I’ve served on the NETA Board 4 years. I am also co-chair of the statewide ESUCC/NCSA BlendEd Pilot Project and Past President of the Nebraska International Languages Association.

As a NETA Board Member, I served on the Governance Committee when we moved to a NETA FREE membership model. I have also helped to establish partnerships between NETA and other statewide associations, and helped to create the Technology Integration Specialists NETA-sponsored group. Looking forward, I’d like to help NETA continue to grow these partnerships. Through these collaborations we have a greater capacity to maximize the impact technology can have on enhancing education.

These are exciting times in EdTech. Emerging technologies will continue to redefine our world. We, in turn, must continue reaching toward redefinition (a la SAMR) of our educational practices to ensure our students are #FutureReady. I would like to continue serving on the NETA Board of Directors to help our organization accomplish our purpose of providing leadership and promoting the application of technology to the educational process.

And remember: Technology can’t make a bad teacher good, but it can make a good teacher great.
