Biography

Biography: I am currently in my 9th year as the 4th/5th and 9th-12th grade principal at High Plains Community Schools in Polk, Nebraska. During my time as principal I have helped establish our 1 to 1 learning initiative, guided the development of school curriculum that is driven by technology, and created new programs centered on use of new and innovative technologies. A longtime member of NETA and a frequent presenter at the yearly technology conference, I was honored to be chosen by NETA as the 2017 Leading with Technology Award winner. I firmly believe that there is a place for technology in every classroom and believe that students cannot be “unplugged” when they enter our classrooms. Being chosen for a leadership position in NETA would provide me an opportunity to directly give back to the organization that has provided leadership, support, and networking opportunities for me to grow as a professional. If elected to serve with NETA, I would work extremely hard to continue the efforts of previous boards who have made the yearly conferences, published resources, and support to Nebraska’s educational technology innovators and leaders second to none.
