Bio:
Meet Dr. Lynne Herr, a dedicated professional in educational technology and a catalyst for positive change. With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Herr’s unwavering commitment to fostering learning through technology continues to have a lasting impact.
Currently serving as a digital teaching & learning professional learning consultant at Educational Service Unit 6 in Milford, NE since 2007, Dr. Herr previously spent a decade as a K-12 school technology director at Waverly. Alongside her role, she has been an active NETA Board member, including serving as president, contest chair, and advocacy chair, and currently serves as exhibitor coordinator.
Beyond Nebraska, Dr. Herr’s influence extends nationwide as she consults with schools across the country to provide both online and in-person professional learning experiences. She also teaches technology leadership and skill development courses for the University of Nebraska.
In 2019, Dr. Herr was honored as a Google Innovator, where she embarked on a mission to bring quality professional learning to teachers in rural Indonesia. Through her work with the Innovator Academy, she co-led a Facebook group that quickly grew from a few hundred members to an astounding 300,000 members in just two weeks during the initial COVID outbreaks in Southeast Asia.
