Brian Gibson

My name is Brian Gibson. I’ve been a technology coordinator for the past 24 years. Currently at Northwest Public Schools for 16 years and Centura Schools for 8 years. I have been a part of the Nebraska PowerSchool Users group since it’s inception and helped to get it started. I am a member of the NETA LAN Managers group and actively attend meetings. I would like be a part of the NETA board and have a voice for other LAN Managers. I have been attending the NETA Convention since almost the beginning. NETA has be through many changes and grown significantly. At first, the focus was really geared for LAN Mangers. Changes over the years have benefited teachers a lot more which is great. However, I still feel there is a need for knowledge and training for Technology Directors. I have made many connections in education and feel I could bring a lot to the NETA Board. I also coach Speech and Mock Trial. I feel this helps with my communication skills and will be an added benefit to what I have to offer.
