Biography

Kyleigh (Lewis) Kumm is a passionate technology enthusiast with a natural curiosity for technology, and its ability to positively transform educational practices. Kyleigh has served on the NETA board since 2019 and has enjoyed helping with contests, contributing to the social media committee, and presenting on various topics at the Spring Conference. As an advocate for Computer Science Education and Code.org Facilitator for CSD, she is dedicated to empowering students and educators to enhance the computer science learning experience, course offerings, and confidence to provide Computer Science equity across Nebraska and the Midwest. Kyleigh is currently a technology integrationist and Computer Science teacher at Harlan Community School District. In her previous roles she has collaborated with educators across the state as an instructional coach and business teacher. Kyleigh has seen the benefits of sharing NETA contests with her students, attending Fall and Spring NETA keynotes and breakout sessions, and networking with educators from all backgrounds and district levels. These experiences fuel her enthusiasm to provide new, innovative opportunities to continue to serve and make a meaningful impact on the NETA membership.
