Biography
I have been a teacher for nineteen years, with fifteen years being at Milford Public Schools. My vision is to inspire life-long learning, innovation, leadership, creativity, and critical thinking. The way I see it, I am “just a big kid” who gets to go to school everyday. My day includes teaching all ages of students K-12 plus helping teachers effectively integrate technology into their classrooms. Each day I want to provide students the opportunity to pursue a passion, to embrace resistance, to develop a skill, and to enhance their leadership skills.
I have held many leadership positions in different organizations while also sharing my passion for teaching technology at several different conferences regionally and nationally. I believe the NETA organization will benefit from my personal motto of “attacking the day with kindness” and servant leadership style. I will work diligently at sharing innovative technology strategies, encouraging collaboration, while inspiring personal well-being.
My husband, Brandon Mowinkel, is the Jr/Sr High School Principal at Milford. We have a daughter in college who is majoring in education, a sophomore daughter and a seventh grade son. We spend our free time traveling, going to softball, basketball, wrestling, and golfing events.
