Ziplet

If you are in need of a new tool, you need to check out Ziplet.  Ziplet is an easy to use exit ticket or tool to gauge students’ prior knowledge, that provides you with instant feedback and data.  In less than a minute, you can create a question or use one of the already created questions provided, and send it out to your students.  In less than five minutes, your students can log on, answer the question, and submit their response. As soon as your students have submitted their response you have immediate access to the data.  Depending on the types of responses, Ziplet creates bar graphs of the answers chosen.  If students create a written response, Ziplet creates a word cloud or word list of the most used words.

I have used Ziplet to check-in with students on a weekly basis.  I have also used it as an exit ticket to lessons and to gauge students’ prior knowledge on vocabulary words or topics in history.  I hope you can find a way to add this easy-to-use tool to your classroom!
