A Summer of Professional Development

Webinars

This summer, we were thrilled to offer our membership the chance to Stretch Yourself, and take a tiny portion of our Spring 2020 Conference and put it online. Over the course of three months, we put on 10 live webinars with over 400 registered participants! It was a complete success and we are so thankful to our membership, speakers, and sponsors who helped us put those on. If you missed out, no worries! You can still catch all of our webinar recordings here. Watch them now or watch them later! We uploaded them for your convenience!

Book Study

One of my favorite offerings we had this summer was the #yourNETA Book Study with Weston Kieschnick! Weston is the author of Bold School and was so kind to offer up his time leading a live discussion with educators just like you! Through Zoom, our membership was able to find community as they walked through individual chapters with the author himself and held discussions online. A huge shoutout to Weston for his participation and leadership!

Podcast

Something that we have been offering for about a year now is the NETAGo Podcast, where our host, Heather Callihan, offers quick professional development tips on the go! Each month is a new episode highlighting a relevant topic designed for educators. Over the summer, we covered a variety of topics such as #DigCit, S.T.E.A.M, and S.T.E.M and had special guests like Weston Kieschnick, and Holly Clark! Feel to free to check out this summer’s episodes and more when you go to NETAGo’s episode list on Apple Podcasts, or wherever you stream your podcasts.

Online Learning Resources

Over the course of the summer, we compiled a list of online teacher resources specifically for you to utilize in your online or virtual classrooms! On that list, you can find products and resources from some of our sponsors such ad MACKIN, SMART Distance Learning, Nearpod, Belkin, and Verkada. We also have activities for your students from Book Creator! Be sure to check those out and more by going to our website.

NEFETC

COMING SOON! NEFETC! All summer we advertised the opportunity to attend the Nebraska Fall Ed Tech Conference! Registration is coming soon. This online conference will be held November 2-3.
